Spanish Revival Galleon Painted Screen F2768

Regular price $550.00

Hand-painted Spanish Revival screen featuring a vibrant galleon scene, dating to the 1920s. Crafted from wood with leather and wrought-iron hardware, the piece reflects the popularity of the Spanish Revival style that spread throughout the United States during the early 20th century—particularly in California and the American Southwest, where architects and designers drew inspiration from Spanish Colonial and Moorish motifs. Galleon imagery was especially favored during this period, evoking the romanticized Age of Exploration and Spain’s maritime history.

The screen remains in excellent condition for its age, with expected minor wear along the edges and light discoloration on the reverse side, consistent with nearly a century of use. A striking example of Spanish Revival decorative arts and a distinctive statement piece for interior display.
