Native American Winter Coyote & Spring Rabbit Bag 1930s-40s A3343

We love the duality in the design, one side showing the coyote in winter howling at the moon and the other revealing the rabbit merrily pulling a cart full of fruits and vegetables in a field where the corn is growing under a blue sky with puffy white clouds scudding along in the breeze. The contrast couldn't be starker, or more humorous.
And we love the depression-era flour sack lining. During those hard times, the flour companies bagged their product in bright patterned cloth that could then be made into clothing and other things after use.
