Mexican Tin Flower Candle Sconces, William Spratling Style M2026
Regular price
$750.00
Pair of Mexican tin flower candle sconces, 1930s, in the style of William Spratling. Each sconce is hand-formed with layered petal motifs radiating from a central boss, creating a bold, sculptural floral form. The craftsmanship reflects the early 20th-century revival of traditional Mexican metalwork, often associated with Spratling’s influence in Taxco.
The surfaces show a rich, natural patina with areas of oxidation that highlight the dimensionality of the petals and add depth to the overall composition. Retaining their original mounting hardware, both sconces are ready to hang and display.
A strong decorative statement, equally suited for use with candles or as wall-mounted sculptural elements.
