Prolific Venice street artist, occasional actor and all-around character Gil Borgos truly made his mark on LA: Beverly Hills wouldn't have its outdoor art fair without his prompt to a councilman 40 years ago. And his stuff is pretty terrific. He made his living doing quick portraits but it is his scenes of Venice that we cherish. This piece really captures Venice's beachy bohemian grit. Before the downtown art scene, this was LA's Greenwich Village.
Pastel and mixed media on heavy paper, measures 20 1/2" x 22 1/2", framed 26 1/2" x 28". Excellent condition
