Alfred C. Ybarra

Alfred C. Ybarra (1905 – 2001) Double-sided Watercolor dated 1951 Stormy Desert Skies: Two Views P660

Regular price $1,950.00

Large works by artist and art director Al Ybarra dated 1951, and measuring 22 x 30. The beautiful desert sky in both pictures is striking and vivid.. Both sides are pretty darn amazing: one shows twin outcroppings of rock with a cluster of houses nested between them. These seem to us to be of a Mexican landscape, perhaps in the state of Durango, a favorite location for many of the John Wayne movies on which Ybarra worked.
