Plateau Floral Beaded Clutch with Fringe, c. 1970s A3505

A lovely Plateau beaded clutch featuring a floral arrangement of daffodil and roses, rendered in warm shades of gold, amber, and soft pink against a field of turquoise glass beads.

The detailed floral imagery reflects the rich beadwork traditions of Indigenous artists of the Columbia River Plateau, where botanical motifs have long adorned personal accessories and ceremonial objects.

Finished with a beaded handle and elaborate looped fringe, the piece has a wonderful sense of color and movement. Minor bead loss is present along the handle and fringe, as shown in the accompanying photographs.
