From a posting by a collector: "The artist is Dom Pacitti and he loved Lincoln automobiles. Dom collected Lincolns, restored old Lincolns and was an avid auto enthusiast. Some of the history we have dug up on Dom states that he worked for the Ford Motor Company for 40 years and Ford would periodically commission Dom to do a painting." Other sources identify him as Ford automotive designer and executive employed at the company for 40 years.
