Paul Guigou was a French landscape painter born in 1834 in Aix-en-Provence, France. He died in the same city in 1871. Guigou is known for his landscape paintings. Two sources, "Paul Guigou, catalog raisonné" by Sylvie Lamort de Gail and "Paul Guigou 1834-1871" by Claude-Jeanne Bonnici, describe and reproduce his work, including "Les Bords de la Durance."
