Once owned by the notorious Jazz Age gangster and all around bad egg Owney Madden (of Cotton Club fame.) Came from his place of peaceful retirement in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The legend accruing to this collection is that it was acquired from his old pal George Raft in settlement of a gambling debt. We only bring this up for the pleasure of saying, however inaccurately, George Raft slept here. It's a reach, but we will have our fun.
