Unusual swivel compartments, missing back cross piece, tiger stripe finish on the wood. Label 1c. We can only speculate as to the purpose of this rather special design. Is it for a smoker to sit astride it backwards, or for a bunch of the chairs to be arranged in rows to support devotions in church, or to furnish a music-hall like the Moulin Rouge??
