After getting his start at Spratling's Taller de las Delicias, and then working successively for Los Castillo and Margot de Taxco, Miguel Melendez struck out on his own and flourished from the 50s to the 70s. We find this to be a great example of his characteristic way with inlay, in this case jade chip.
