A kid is recovering from being hit by a car, all bandaged up, sitting in a wheel chair by an open window. He is watching his pals play ball while he relives his accident... caused by his running after the ball out into the street. It's a cautionary tale told pretty vividly. This canvas was produced for the Louis F Dow Co whose specialty at the time was producing landscapes for the home and, er, pin-ups for Dad. And calendar art. Plenty of that.
This big beauty 38 1/2" x 30 3/8" in a 41" x 33 1/2" frame. Recently repaired and restored. A rare and impressive survivor from commercial art's past.
