Julian Ritter

Julian Ritter -Portrait of Joan Cohn Harvey c 1947 P3313

Regular price $2,200.00

This is a terrific likeness of one of Hollywood's great tough ladies and ultimate survivors. Joan Perry, the model and actress, married  and buried the redoubtable Harry Cohn, inheriting a controlling stock of Columbia Pictures upon his death, remarried (and swiftly shed) the appalling Harry Karl (Debby Reynolds' marital and financial nemesis), and tried romance one last time with the 1960's movie star Laurence Harvey. That's a great run. And mostly fun. 1911-1996.

Oil on canvas. Measures 24 3/4" x 36", frame is 27 1/4" x 38 1/2".
