A fashionable silversmith of the period, Joseph Heinrichs produced this elegant hammered nut dish in a style that nods to the Arts and Crafts movement. Monogrammed J H, his mark, and stamped "Joseph Heinrichs Paris New York" and "Silver Soldered". He is known to have produced work for Tiffany's as well as Gorham.
