Ernest Bachrach

Ernest Bachrach (1899-1973 - Autographed Tom Mix Studio Photograph c 1928 AP1866

Regular price $900.00

Tom Mix of course was one of the biggest stars of the early cinema, and by the late 20s he had reached the apogee of his fame and fortune. This sensitive portrait feels very personal.

The image is 8" x 6" printed on a 10" x 7" sheet.

Ernest Bachrach (1899-1973) had one of the longest careers as a studio portrait photographer of the Golden Era.  During this time, he crystallized star images of the previously unknown Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, and Orson Welles. While meeting the demands of a publicity department, Bachrach managed to impose a personal aesthetic on this work, a considerable feat in Hollywood.
