Antique Spanish Revival Hand Carved Walnut Chairs, set of six F2851
Six hand carved walnut chairs in the Spanish Baroque style, likely from the 1920s. They have tall upholstered backs, turned baluster legs, and pierced scrolling stretchers, and the sturdy frames are heavy and tight. The red silk velvet seats with metallic galloon and tasseled fringe show their age. Reportedly from the pavilion at the old Hollywood cemetery. Sold as-is.
The frames are very solid. The upholstery is original and heavily worn, with fading, thinning velvet, and losses to the peach damask backs. A few of these chairs have large rips on the seat backs. Please inquire for more photos if you wish to see these details closer.
