Really delightful. Shows every Danish monarch of the last thousand years in caricature through King Frederick IX who died in 1972. The text is in French. It reads, “Once upon a time in Denmark, a thousand years ago, there was a ruler called Gormon the Old. Since those days his family has not ceased to govern the country, which makes it the oldest monarchy in the world. The present-day King Frederick IX is a descendant of Gormon the Old.” 24 x 40.
