Founded in High Point, North Carolina in 1953, Thayer Coggin became one of the most influential modern furniture manufacturers in America through its legendary 50-year collaboration with Baughman.
Known for blending clean architectural lines with comfort and functionality, Baughman’s designs helped define the California modern aesthetic of the 1950s–1970s. His work has been exhibited at MoMA and the Whitney Museum, and remains among the most sought-after names in collectible modern furniture.
