Truth Is Beauty, Raison Avant La Passion Silkscreen Poster Early 70s AP1655

Regular price $450.00
A truly mysterious image with its equally mysterious pair of slogans, the English one being Truth Is Beauty and the French one, Raison Avant La Passion (in English Reason Over Passion). Even the orientation of the poster is unusual. The first is a celebrated quote from Keats, the other a famous one from Canadian premier Pierre Trudeau. Is the balding man on the left Trudeau? Certainly this is a Canadian work, and doubtless heavily ironic.
