DESCRIPTION: What is it about a French design that defies convention but manages to endear? All you need is some Edith Piaf and a cup of Cafe Francais from General Foods International Coffees and you'll be transported to a cafe in Paris! AM FM Shortwave tabletop tube radio manufactured by Oceanic in France in 1958 timeframe in excellent+ working and physical condition. This radio has excellent audio sound quality. Very loud and clear no humming or buzzing. No cracks, splits, abrasions, or missing material anywhere on the cabinet! No cracks, chips, or major scratches any where on the cabinet. All original molded front bow and fascia factory color no repaints or repairs. All knobs, dial pointer, etc are present, working, not missing. No missing center gold metal caps! Picks up AM FM and shortwave stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without external antenna attachment. Excellent mid century European design! The sea green turquoise bow lights up nicely. Very neat! The tuning eye works perfectly and is mesmerizing. Cool as heck! The knobs are original matching ivory plastic securely attached. This radio is over 60 years old! All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. The dial face shows all European countries. Neat! No missing numbering, dots or dashes, or anything. No smudges or yellowing. The back panel is in excellent condition. The tuning and volume dials work fine. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The original power cord and plug is in good working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
