The German influence in Mexico is strong: you hear it in the music, taste it in the beers and, here, you are instantly reminded of those traditional German lidded pottery steins, though the figures are distinctively Mexican, and that is definitely a hat dance. This is a very special piece, quite unusual and definitely rare, from the 1930s.
Measures 12" x 9 1/2" x6 5/8". Some very minor damage: glaze rubs but no cracks.
