This striking large-format color lithograph, titled “Cowboy Frontier,” was created by renowned British-American artist John Young-Hunter (1874–1955). Dated 1919, the composition vividly depicts a poignant moment of contact between a pioneer family and local Native peoples on the American frontier. The piece showcases exceptional detail, masterful draftsmanship, and a beautiful use of color and shading that capture both the drama and humanity of the scene. A superb example of early 20th-century Western art, it reflects Young-Hunter’s distinctive style and technical mastery.

There is some visible water damage on the back side of the piece, but it does not effect the quality of the lithograph.
