$450.00
Best of friends, and fellow aviation enthusiasts, and Oklahomans, Rogers and Post would die together tragically when their Lockheed Orion/Explorer sea-plane crashed on Aug 15, 1935 in Alaska. To say that their deaths occasioned national mourning would be an understatement, for the entire world grieved. Will Rogers was perhaps one of the most beloved entertainers of his era, still cherished to this day as a humorist, and Wiley Post captured the nation's affection and admiration by being the first person to fly solo around the globe, amongst his many other exploits. Thus the eternal flame motif of the glass globe over the globe of our planet.
Highly collectible, rewired and in working condition. Measures 18" x 6" x 6".
