Folk Art Horse Bedside Lamp L879

A charming handmade bedside lamp with a good deal of personality. The horse is cut and carved from wood, painted cream with a black mane and tail, and detailed in fine ink lines for the bridle, muscles, and hooves. He’s caught mid-buck, which gives the whole piece a lively, slightly mischievous energy. The best part is the tail: it’s the light switch!

The horse and stem are mounted on a stepped, painted wood base. The lamp is topped with a vintage drum shade in a parchment-style material flecked with gold threads, laced at the rim and base with leather stitching.

A fun and unusual piece for a child’s room, a guest room, or anywhere that could use a little humor and Western folk charm.
