One of the truly iconic posters by a great master of the form. Published by ENIT. the Italian National Tourist Board, founded in 1919 with the objective of attracting visitors to Italy from around the globe. This campaign signaled Italy's remarkable recovery from WWII. And this poster also marks the resurgence of Cassandre's career, postwar. 

Cassandre, pseudonym of Adolphe Jean-Marie Mouron (24 January 1901 – 17 June 1968), was a French painter, commercial poster artist, and typeface designer. To call him a giant in his field would not be an exaggeration.. 

Cleaned, and mounted on linen. Poster measures 24 1/2" x 39 1/4", the linen is 36 1/2" x 41 5/8".
