A charming example of early California design, this Monterey-style telephone stand features a single inset Taylor Tilery tile atop a dark-stained oak frame. The tile displays a geometric interlace pattern in cobalt blue, emerald green, and yellow — characteristic of Taylor's hand-decorated work from the late 1920s. The open lower shelf and tapered legs are typical of the period's Mission-inflected California furniture. A functional and decorative piece in good original condition.
