A rare find in the Monterey canon — this substantial club chair retains its original straw ivory finish, a color seldom seen surviving intact on this form. The frame features characteristic iron hardware at the joints and a woven rope seat, with the original hand-painted floral motif preserved on the chair back. Minor restoration to the arms. An exceptional example of California Spanish Revival furniture in great overall condition considering its age and use. Does not come with cushion. Circa 1930s.
