Yawman & Erbe Manufacturing Company was in business from about 1880 until around 1930. The Messrs.Yawman and Erbe, former employees of Bausch and Lomb, formed a partnership and founded their own company in Rochester NY. This company was mainly a respected manufacturer of filing cabinets. Which are still much in demand by collectors for their design, durability and continuing practicality.
