Molded Glass Cockatoo by Tiffin Glass Company A3482

Regular price $250.00

Vintage molded glass novelty cockatoo figure, attributed to the Tiffin Glass Company, likely mid-20th century. Rendered in vibrant frosted satin glass with warm coral-orange coloration and contrasting pale green crest, the bird is perched atop a simulated tree stump base with finely molded feather detailing and expressive facial features. The soft matte surface and richly blended colors are characteristic of American satin art glass production popular during the 1930s–1950s.

While exact catalog identification remains uncertain, figural bird forms such as parrots, cockatoos, and tropical birds were produced by several American glassmakers as decorative novelty pieces and boudoir accessories during the mid-century period. Tiffin became especially well known for its high-quality satin glass finishes and colorful decorative wares.
