Helen B. Hughes Reynolds was born in Iowa on December 9, 1874, moving to Center, Indiana in 1900. By 1909 she had married banker, Delmar M. Reynolds and settled in Pasadena. She died there on August 1, 1963. Her paintings include plein-air landscapes of the area around her home as well as the California desert.
