First National Plaza, Chicago - Midcentury Metal Souvenir Building (and Coin Bank!) A2726

Regular price $200.00

Built in 1969 as the headquarters for the First National Corporation. Many mergers and acquisitions later it is now called the Chase Tower. And of course this replica is designed as a coin bank. It has, however, in the course of the many ups and downs of the market, lost its key.

Measures 8" x 3 3/4" x 2 3/4".

A souvenir building is a three-dimensional, miniature version of an actual building, monument, statue, bridge, dam etc.   Souvenir buildings trigger a memory of a building or a structure, a time, a place, or perhaps a person. And once you start collecting these little wonders, it will be hard to stop.
