Superb and iconic westeren scene of painting of horses being corralled by well-known Santa Barbara artist Stanley Edwards. Oil on canvas. Exhibited at the Southern California Art Exhibition in San Diego in 1938. Art is 32 x 39, Framed 36 x 44.

Stanley Murray Edwards was born in California on Nov. 9, 1899. By the 1930s Edwards had settled in Santa Barbara. He died there on April 27, 1981. Exh: Calif. Art Club, 1934; Painters & Sculptors of LA, 1935; Calif. State Fair, 1937; GGIE, 1939 (tempera). Known for modernist-leaning landscape, figures, and animal scenes.
