Robert P. (Bert) Strathearn (1881-1968) was active/lived in California. Robert Strathearn is known for Cartoons, newspaper art, cowboy genre.Traditional Western painter. Work in National Cowboy Hall of Fame, Western Livestock Journal. Strathearn's father introduced Angus purebred cattle in Southern California. Growing up as a cowboy in the 1880s, Bert worked on his father's ranch. He became a successful banker in Moorpark, CA, and a credit manager. The Los Angeles Times and the Express employed him as a political cartoonist. Around 1935 Strathearn began producing etchings, then paintings in oil and watercolor. Many of his works are on display at Strathearn Historical Park and Museum in Simi Valley, CA.
