Source: Edan Hughes, "Artists in California, 1786-1940"

A charming work almost despite its subject, the huge holding tanks set off cheerfully by the side of a building struck suddenly bright yellow by the sun, and the bright colors of the freight cars, all under a blue sky with magnificent clouds, or maybe those are the great billows of steam being released by the refinery. We are very taken with this artist's work. And with our enthusiasm for outsider art, we think Meyer Greenberg is definitely a find. These came from his daughters estate. She was also a painter.

Oil on board 13" x 16".
