Born in Michigan on June 8, 1902. Stephen LaVern Dunwell settled in Los Angeles in 1925. For 20 years he worked as an artist for North American Aircraft. He died in Newport Beach, CA on Feb. 11, 1971. Exh: Artists Fiesta (LA), 1931; San Diego FA Gallery, 1933.
