Vintage Nichol Cola Horizontal Sign 1940s

Regular price $395.00

A 1940s redesign of the bottle and label is also reflected in the superb and light-hearted graphic of this sign. The mid-century style beckons already. Measures 12" x 29 1/2". In very good condition.

A grand old cola soda, Nichol Kola was, and still is, made with premium ingredients such as kola nut, neroli, coriander, cinnamon and cane sugar. First produced in 1936, Nichol Kola was named after its original owner, Harry R. Nicholson Sr. He started his company in Baltimore in the early 1900's and came up with Nichol Kola in the 1930's. Originally it sold for a nickel (get it?). Nichol Kola was bought by Coca-Cola in the early 1950s and phased out. Nichol Kola has been brought back and is currently bottled by Orca Beverage Works at their "retro soda facility" in Mukilteo, Washington.
